elvis birthday tribute

january 9, 2005 - state theater

i didn't really know what to expect about this, but it ended up being really really cool. we sat in the balcony, so i refused to put on my glasses because that way i really could convince myself i was seeing elvis. there were three different impersonators (some of the best in the world, supposedly) and they each had a specific elvis era: early rockabily elvis, middle/army years elvis, and later vegas years elvis. they all sounded and looked really good! i had such fun! the early and late ones were the best, they had his voice and laugh perfect. i would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes elvis and never got the chance to see him live, ha.
